Kicking off 2023 with my artwork showing at a couple of venues in Redding, California: as part of a multi-media West Coast group show, and in a solo exhibit – read on!
The 2023 West Coast Biennial, showing at the Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding, California during February through April 2023, features work by artists from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and California. Juror Shelly Willis selected 34 works from 340 entries, representing a variety of media – paintings, ceramic sculpture, textile, photography, and assemblage.
My painting “Where the Future Has Passed” (watercolor on paper, image size 26″ H x 19.5″ W) is part of the exhibit. I came across this beautiful old neon sign when driving along South Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada, in early 2022. I did a U-turn to go back and photograph this stunning old sign. (The fortune teller’s business is long gone…)
And….. During February 2023, my solo exhibit Beauty in Decay is showing at the North Valley Art League’s Carter House Gallery in Redding, California.
